Upon arrival at the airport, our guide will welcome you. Afterwards, we will go to the office located in El Triunfo to board our boat and begin the journey sailing along the waters of the Madre de Dios River (1 hour and 20 minutes on average). Upon arrival at Warayo Lodge & Expedition, the manager will welcome us with some ice-cold seasonal fruit drinks and will provide some instructions for your stay. Then, you will be directed to your rooms. After that, we will go to the dining room to enjoy a delicious lunch made with organic and Amazonian ingredients. Lunch may eventually be on the boat depending on the arrival time of the group’s flights.
After lunch, we will get ready to embark on the next adventure. With our guide, we will take a short walk through the forest towards the Briolo ravine to do the first activity (kayaking). During the tour through the forest, you will be able to observe a great variety of flora and fauna that the Amazon region offers us. Upon reaching the ravine, the guide will provide recommendations and instructions for carrying out this activity, which will consist of kayaking through the winding curves of the ravine.
At nightfall, we will search for alligators in the waters of the Madre de Dios River, where we will be able to observe nocturnal fauna.

Our day will start very early in the morning (05:30 am). After a delicious and nutritious breakfast we will get ready for our boat trip to Lake Valencia, which is the largest lake in Madre de Dios. Its rich waters are home to a great variety of fish, including the Paiche, considered the largest in the Amazon basin, the giant otter, varieties of birds and monkeys.
Once in Lake Valencia we will practice sport fishing (generally piranhas of different varieties).
We will take a boat ride on the extensive lake, almost 15km long, and enjoy a delicious lunch on board.
The journey does not end here, as returning along the Madre de Dios River we will enter the Palma Real Native Community, belonging to the Ese Eja ethnic group, who will welcome us with dances to the rhythm of their drums and flutes, to tell us part of their history, experiences and customs, and finally show us how they make their crafts, made mainly by the women of the community with natural fibers such as Tamshi (climbing plant) and dyes extracted from their forests. These crafts are put up for sale (for which you must have cash in soles if you wish to purchase them).
At the end of the activity we will go to the lodge. After a restful rest we will take a night excursion through the forest to enjoy the sounds that the forest offers us in the middle of the darkness.

Our day will start early with breakfast, and then we will return to the city of Puerto Maldonado, taking advantage of the boat trip to enjoy the landscapes of the sunrise, the flora and fauna of the river.
Our staff will accompany you to the airport or to your hotel.
